Lacrosse Northwest is providing an opportunity for high school boys to further gain experience by playing lacrosse over 6 weeks through the summer with their high school teams. To create an atmosphere in which players can continue to play with their high school teammates into the summer to build team camaraderie, trust, lacrosse IQ, personal skills, and overall team development.
Winning is NOT the focus here. The focus is getting out and playing with your high school teammates, getting the incoming freshman an opportunity to play at the faster high school level, and to just get out and play the game we all love. Reminder: there are NO recruiters out there. Big hits, taunting, jeering from players or sidelines will NOT be tolerated.
Our Birds of Prey Summer team will be filled with a mixture of Varsity and Junior Varsity players. Players MUST be between incoming freshman (Class of 2026) or incoming Seniors (Class of 2023). Players are required to be attending Lincoln High School in the fall, or live within the Lincoln district and attend a school that does not have a High School Lacrosse program (e.g. Catlin Gable, NW Academy).
Depending on player interest, we may consider expanding to play in one or two tournaments.
Location: Wilsonville High School, Stadium or JV Field.
Games: 25 minute running halves with a 5 minute half time. There will be a 5 minute warm up period prior to the game for players to get ready.
Dates: Tuesday Evenings, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28, 7/12, 7/19, and 7/21
Game Times: 6:00pm, 7:00pm, or 8:00pm, or 9:00pm. GAME TIMES WILL CHANGE EVERY WEEK! Please keep an eye on the schedule!
Practices: TBD, and optional - dependent on field availability
